INTRODUCTION TO THE SAFE HANDLING OF MEDICINES

Safe Handling of Medicines is designed to ensure that candidates will understand policies and procedures for the safe handling and storing of medicines as well as the correct method of record keeping. This Introduction to the Safe Handling of Medicines course will detail about the roles of the people involved, some of the different groups of medicines, providing different levels of support to patients, infection control, label interpretation and much more.

END OF COURSE ASSESSMENT

The end of course assessment demonstrates the student’s understanding of the information contained within the course. It must be passed to download the course certificate.

  • The assessment is taken online – the student does not need to attend an assessment centre

  • The assessment consists of multiple-choice questions

  • Students must achieve at least 70% in the assessment to pass it and download their course certificate

  • Students that do not pass the test can retake it at no extra cost (provided it is completed within 90 days from enrolment)

RECEIVING LOG-IN DETAILS

You will be sent an email (from admin@trainingemail.com) that will contain instructions for accessing your course. Please check your SPAM / JUNK folder if you do not receive the email as it may get blocked by your firewall. If you have not received this within one hour, please contact info@sheq-aspenthorn.co.uk for a copy to be sent to you.

ACCESSING THE COURSE

The course materials will work on any internet enabled device running an up to date internet browser. You will have 90 days from the date of enrolment to log on and complete your course. The course does not need to be completed in one sitting.

You can log out and return any time up until the course is completed or until the 90 day access expires.

COURSE CERTIFICATE

On successful completion of the course and test, both the student and the coordinator can download the course certificate
