IOSH Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Workers course: Book your place today!

The IOSH’s one-day Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Workers is flagship training that provides the core knowledge workers need to stay safe and keep others safe. The course is designed for anyone who works on or around a construction site, or has reason to visit one as part of their work.

What does the course cover?

This high-impact one-day course takes delegates through the set-up of a construction site in a relatable scenario that develops as the course progresses. Its practical, jargon-free approach will meet the needs of every learner.


Delegates will learn:

  • How to spot common hazards

  • Strategies for improving safety performance across the site

  • Ways to foster teamwork

  • How to take greater responsibility for their own and their colleagues’ safety


Accreditation and assessment

This course is recognised by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) as equivalent to a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. This means that delegates can apply for the Green Labourer card – allowing them to work on construction sites in entry-level positions. In addition, this course is aligned to the Build UK Training Standard and employers can access the CITB levy.


To gain certification, delegates need to pass a short assessment at the end of the course. Certificates are issued within six to eight weeks of course attendance.

  • Tuesday 19th October – in person in Liverpool

  • Tuesday 9th November – virtual

  • Tuesday 23rd November – in person in Liverpool

  • Wednesday 8th December – virtual


Note: Our virtual sessions take place ‘live’ in a virtual classroom, with our experienced tutor presents a course to delegates.


Cost

The cost of the course is £120pp, plus VAT.
